Thomas Harris is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator based in the Pacific Northwest. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington where he studied with saxophonists Mark Kelly and Mike Allen, and bassist Chuck Israels, he attended Berklee College of Music under full scholarship, learning from jazz legends George Garzone, Frank Tiberi, Phil Wilson and many others. He then went on to perform for several years onboard cruise ships and in touring bands, visiting all seven continents and over 80 countries.

 

 

 

In addition to performing with a wide variety of artists and bands around the world on the saxophone, clarinet, and flute, Thomas is also an accomplished vocalist and has performed his original swing arrangements on Crystal Cruises and the Cunard Queens. 

Thomas Harris is currently employed by Theo Wanne Mouthpieces in Bellingham, Washington, as a hand craftsman refacing and finishing mouthpieces, and assisting with research and development. He also appears as a guest instructor at Western Washington University Jazz Studies program and Whatcom Jazz Music Arts Center, as well as maintaining a private studio and a busy performance schedule.

Current ongoing public performances include the popular Tuesday Jazz Night at Aslan Depot in Bellingham, at The Bistro At Shuksan Golf Club on Fridays, and numerous local and regional engagements with a variety of groups, including his own.
